good, still needs work
Im not going to be as over the top as some reviewers- Im going to try to be as objective as possible to help interested buyers. Its main strength is simply this: if you miss Master of Orion, this is the iOS game for you. Its a pretty above-average recreation of the game, and once you get into it a little, youll probably not regret the app purchase. Still a few bugs to work out or weaknesses: its not an absolute re-creation, so be prepared to accept a few new ways of doing things (and the occasionally silly names for things). Planetary expansion bug- if you choose it and theres no planet to expand in the system, youll get an annoying "opportunity" message for the rest of the game but will never be able to expand. Also- if you negotiate nonaggression pacts with neighbors and then start to build really big empires with lots of ships, money, etc., at some point the game just locks up and cant go forward. Thats the most annoying bug to date.
One other thing- there are many games in which the AI is so aggressive you cant enjoy empire-building because youre pretty much at war from Turn 2. This makes some games boringly one-dimensional, and those are the ones I just quit. How about adjustable AI so that you can still have your scraps, but at least enjoy other parts of planet development first?
